GOOD NEWS FOR CHOCOLATE-LOVERS

A recent article featured on CNN Health declares that eating as little as a quarter of an ounce of chocolate each day may lower your risk of experiencing a heart attack or stroke. Coincidentally, this amount is equal to about one small Easter egg.

A study by Brian Buijsse and his colleagues followed nearly 20,000 people for an average of eight years and found that those who rarely ate chocolate had a 27% reduced risk of heart attack and stroke; versus those who ate the most chocolate, who had 48% reduced risk of heart attack and stroke.

CNN states that typically the benefits of chocolate come from flavonoids, mainly found in dark chocolate, not Easter eggs (usually made of milk chocolate). Luckily, Bottega Louie’s chocolate Easter egg selections provide you with a dark chocolate option.
