CUTTING EDGE KITCHENS

A recent article from LA Downtown News declares that the only thing that unites restaurants in downtown is their diversity.

“In the last five years, Downtown Los Angeles has seen an explosion of new restaurants, with scores opening across the community. But since around the start of 2009, something else, something unexpected, has happened: A cutting-edge food scene has emerged, with a cadre of inventive chefs setting up shop and challenging each other.”

“You look at restaurants like The Gorbals, like Bottega Louie and the Lazy Ox; it’s very good food, very interesting food in extremely casual settings.”

An adventurous clientele adds to the perfect experience and dining that Downtown LA has to provide. One that Bottega Louie is very excited to be part of.

BOTTEGA LOUIE EASTER

GOOD NEWS FOR CHOCOLATE-LOVERS

A recent article featured on CNN Health declares that eating as little as a quarter of an ounce of chocolate each day may lower your risk of experiencing a heart attack or stroke. Coincidentally, this amount is equal to about one small Easter egg.

A study by Brian Buijsse and his colleagues followed nearly 20,000 people for an average of eight years and found that those who rarely ate chocolate had a 27% reduced risk of heart attack and stroke; versus those who ate the most chocolate, who had 48% reduced risk of heart attack and stroke.

CNN states that typically the benefits of chocolate come from flavonoids, mainly found in dark chocolate, not Easter eggs (usually made of milk chocolate). Luckily, Bottega Louie’s chocolate Easter egg selections provide you with a dark chocolate option.

Lower your blood pressure, improve blood vessel function, lower LDL and higher HDL. Do so by satisfying your sweet tooth with Bottega Louie chocolate eggs: making their debut this Easter holiday.
